Nightly insights: what to make next
Every night byline reads your latest comments, engagement, and posts, then writes a short, ranked feed of grounded ideas for what to make next. Each one is a single, concrete opportunity, with the proof attached.
What you get each night
A handful of cards, ordered by how strong the signal behind them is. Every card is one opportunity: a title, a couple of plain sentences on why it matters right now, and a recommended next step you can act on.
You do not need a big audience to start. If you have comments and engagement, byline mines those. If you have only your own published work, it still pitches fresh ideas from your library, so the feed is never empty. If nothing new has landed since last night, byline keeps it warm by bringing the best of your backlog back up.
The six kinds of idea
Each card is one of six shapes, so you can tell at a glance what kind of move it is asking for.
| Kind | What it spots |
|---|---|
| A question on repeat | Your audience keeps asking the same thing. Answer it. |
| Do more of what worked | A post that beat your own usual numbers. Here is an adjacent angle. |
| A gap to fill | People want something you have never actually made. |
| A theme heating up | A subject climbing across your comments right now. Ride it. |
| Pair old with new | A hot new piece that fits with an older one of yours. Resurface it together. |
| A fresh angle | A pitch mined from your own library: the next instalment, or a new take on a pillar you already own. |
Every idea shows its proof
No idea arrives as a hunch. Each card carries its evidence: the actual comments quoted back to you, the post and the exact number that moved, and any older piece of yours worth pairing. If byline cannot back a claim with something real, it drops the idea rather than guess. It never invents a comment or a statistic.
Take an idea into your tool
Every card comes with a recommended next step and a ready-to-paste prompt. To draft straight from an idea inside the tool you write in, connect byline once. Paste your byline connection link into that tool's Connectors or integrations settings, sign in once, and you are done.

After that, the tool you write in can pull up tonight's ideas with their proof and draft them in your voice, no re-pasting.
Steer what byline surfaces
The feed learns from you. React to any card:
- More like this tells byline to surface more in that vein.
- Less like this means fewer, and tucks that theme away for good.
byline also learns on its own. It notices which ideas you went on to make, watches how they performed against your own baseline, and uses the result as a quiet signal, no thumbs-up required. It will never collapse onto one note: it always keeps room for a genuinely new opportunity you have not seen before.
Park, finish, or revive ideas
Not every idea is for right now.
- Snooze sets a card aside for a week, then it comes back.
- Mark it done when you have made the thing.
- Ideas you do not act on are not deleted. They recede to a backlog byline keeps re-reading, and resurfaces, often stronger, when the same demand returns.
You can bring anything back from the backlog whenever you like.
Ask for fresh ideas now
Do not want to wait for tonight? Ask byline to look now, either from your dashboard or from the tool you have connected. It re-reads your latest comments, engagement, and posts and refreshes the feed on the spot.
