byline reads eligible work from connected sources and makes processed context available to supported AI tools. Here is a first run from setup to a grounded draft you can review.

The four steps

Choose a plan, then one client workspace and your own content. Complete payment before reading begins, and add that client's own work.
Let it read. Eligible items are queued and processed within your plan's allowance; a voice profile may take more material and time.
Connect byline to a supported AI tool. Use its custom remote MCP option for the link below and complete that host's authorization flow. Reconnect if a saved grant no longer works.
Check the evidence, then draft. Ask your tool to recall a specific idea from the client's work and cite the source. Check that it found the right client before asking for a draft in their voice.

Enter it where your host supports a custom remote MCP connection, not in an arbitrary integration field. Follow that host's current sign-in and authorization flow, then list your byline workspaces and select the intended client. You do not need to copy an API key. Host menus and availability vary; a saved or expired grant may need reauthorization. See the connection guide.

Start with one channel

One dense channel is usually enough for the first voice card, and byline sharpens as you add more. Open Sources in your dashboard and pick one:

Instagram. Sign in to the professional account you post from, through Instagram's own login. byline reads your posts and reels, and their like/comment counts.
Website or blog. Paste your site's address. byline watches it and ingests new posts as you publish, no copy-paste.
Email. Open Email → Create inbox to get the workspace's address. Send the words in the message body from the inbox owner's email or an address added under Allowed senders; accepted mail is queued for processing. Attachments are not read.
A single link. Open Read a single URL for a public article or YouTube video of your own. Reading is queued, not instant.

Add at least one source or URL of the client's own work to finish setup. If you cancel Instagram's permission screen, setup returns to the source step with a reason and a next step.

Check the Library for what has been read. A connected account does not mean every item is ready, and a voice profile may need more material and a later consolidation run. For a second client, create a separate workspace and explicitly select it in your connected AI tool before recalling or drafting.

Start with a paid introductory month

Account creation needs no card, but does not grant free reading. Eligible first-time payers can start monthly Creator or Studio for US$0.99 for one month, then automatically renew at US$29/month or US$99/month unless cancelled. Both introductions use Creator reading allowances; Studio retains up to five owned client workspaces and team access. Annual plans are paid upfront without the offer. The moment to watch for

Look for a useful answer grounded in the right client's work, then a draft you can improve rather than rewrite. Compare it with the source material and correct anything that does not fit. Setup completion alone does not prove that the profile is ready or that a draft sounds right.

Your first ideas about what to make next arrive a little later, once byline has gathered enough posts and engagement to have something honest to say.
